Comprehensive Model Project to End the Worst Forms of Child Labor in Seasonal Hazelnut Farming in Turkey
“The real solution is not to keep a child away from the fields, but to guide them safely into the future.”
The Comprehensive Model Project to End the Worst Forms of Child Labor in Seasonal Hazelnut Farming in Turkey aims to contribute to the elimination of the worst forms of child labor in line with national policies and strategies.
As part of the project, a multi-stakeholder mechanism is being implemented to identify at-risk children, refer them to educational programs, and monitor them regularly. At the same time, awareness-raising and informational activities are being conducted for farmers, families, agricultural labor brokers, and other local stakeholders.
