Project to Strengthen Community Resilience Through Psychosocial Support for Populations Affected by Earthquakes in Turkey
“Recovery begins with a safe space and support provided at the right time.”
The overall objective of the project is to help earthquake-affected communities achieve decent living conditions, meet their basic needs—such as food, hygiene, and education—and improve their well-being.
As part of these efforts, psychosocial support activities are being conducted with adults, parents, and children in various tent and container cities in Hatay, and group and individual counseling services are being provided. Hygiene kits for women and infants, which are needed due to the negative effects of the earthquake, are also being distributed.
In addition, activities are organized in the mobile child-friendly space to help children develop their ability to cope with negative experiences.
