As the Pikolo Association, we work tobreak the cycle of povertyfor children,protect them from violence and abuse, and improve the quality of life for both children and their families.
In this context, we implement various programs and protection initiatives tostrengthen children’s access to fundamental rightsandensure they can effectively benefit from social services.
Under the protocol we signed with the Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey, we provide on-the-ground guidance, support, and monitoring services to protect children and promote their well-being.
Our Conservation Efforts
We carry out individual and community-based activities with children who are deprived of parental care, at risk of labor exploitation, or facing difficulties accessing social services. These efforts aim to ensure that children can grow up in safe environments, continue their education, and access psychosocial support services.
Child-Friendly Spaces in Disaster-Affected Areas
Through the permanent and mobile child-friendly spaces we have established in disaster-affected areas, we are helping children build their capacity to cope with the traumatic experiences they have endured. The activities carried out in these spaces support children’s psychosocial well-being and resilience.
Our Work with Families
We organize informational sessions for the families of children who benefit from our programs on children’s rights, child protection principles, and safe parenting. By raising families’ awareness, we ensure that children grow up in safe, supportive environments.
